The Elio presentation is at 12:30pm. I’m going to be interviewing one of the Elio people this afternoon, and they said I *might* get to drive it.

Sweet! One of my co-workers put a down payment on one and I’ve been interested to see how they come along.

How close to production model will it be? Not being cynical but I got annoyed by the pre-pre-pre-production model review “this isn’t the engine we’ll use in the production model, this panel gap fitment will be fixed for production model, oh that? Yeah thatll be fixed for production too”
I get they were trying to generate hype but I’m pretty sure it had the engine of a geo metro and the list of things that needed to be fixed was greater than the benefits of the car itself.

This is the P4 prototype, with the “Frankenmotor”. They currently have the P5 built - it has the Elio motor in it- but that one is not here.
